Everyone on our team is knowledgeable, and deeply engaged professionally — on the stage and in the classroom — a rare combination.

We take compatibility seriously.

All students’ needs and learning styles are unique. The student/teacher relationship is crucial and often overlooked, or undermined.

The study of electronic music is just as serious as any instrument and in some ways more multi-faceted.

    Classes on MaxMSP are offered.

  • Through assigned exercises and larger scale projects, we will help you master everything — from the fundamentals to the more advanced techniques of composition — in order to unravel and refine your own style and musical language.

  • The four main elements of how we teach theory are solfège, counterpoint, harmony and continuo (figured bass). Until Beethoven this was standard and we want to share these lost treasures with you.

  • Ever wanted better rhythm? Ever wondered how people can look at a score and hear music in their heads? We believe these are invaluable skills that are too often undervalued. Using the mostly the French Conservatory approach, we can help your ear and imagination do things you didn’t know were possible.

Guitar

  • Yes.

We must assess first if the child is ready, but if they are, certainly.

  • Yes.

One needs continous practice between lessons. But cheap guitars can be bought.

  • The classical guitar (sometimes Spanish guitar) is primarly used in classical, flamenco and south-american music. It is the predecessor of the acoustic and electric guitars. The classical guitar unlike the latter two uses nylon or gut strings. Here’s a video example by our instructor Antonio.

Piano

  • Yes, yet one doesn’t need a full acoustic piano. One can start on a cheaper electric piano, as long as it has weighted keys. Please get in touch with us for guidance.

  • Yes we do.

We have teachers who also specialize in anything from jazz to pop, and anything in between. Please contact us for more questions to see who can help you best.

Electronics

  • All.

Rather than typecast you early into a style, we want you to master electricity and signal processing, at the source. You do what you want with that.

  • Yes.

Music production is a multi-faceted role. Electronics can often play a huge part in that.

  • Generally, a computer is a good start.

One may later invest in recording equipment, software and synthesizers.
